# Quickstart

> Create your Traackly account, scan your first receipt and put the expense tracker app on your phone.

Traackly turns a photo of a receipt into a filed expense. This page takes you from a new account to your first scanned receipt in a few minutes.

## Step 1: Create your account

1. [Sign up](/auth/sign-up) with your email or with Google.
2. Pick a plan: Starter, Pro or Scale. New Starter accounts get 7 days of Pro features. [Compare plans](/pricing).

Your dashboard opens as soon as your plan is active.

## Step 2: Scan your first receipt

1. On your dashboard, click **Upload** and choose a file. On a phone, tap **+**, then **Take photo** or **Upload receipt**.
2. You can add up to 10 receipts at once.
3. Smart Scan reads the merchant, amount, currency, date and what you bought, then files the expense in a category.

You can upload photos in JPG, PNG, HEIC or HEIF up to 10 MB, and PDF receipts or invoices up to 5 MB. See [Smart Scan](/docs/receipts/smart-scan) for the details.

## Step 3: Check the details

Open the expense to check what Smart Scan found, and edit anything you like. If a scan fails, retry it once, or simply upload the receipt again.

## Step 4: Put Traackly on your phone

Traackly works in your phone's browser. Add it to your home screen so it opens like an app.

- **iPhone:** open traackly.com in Safari, tap Share (under the ••• menu on newer iPhones), then **Add to Home Screen**.
- **Android:** open traackly.com in Chrome, tap the menu, then **Add to Home screen** or **Install app**.
