Rent, software, subscriptions: add a recurring expense once, and Traackly logs every charge on schedule. Recurring expenses are included on Pro and Scale.

## Add a recurring expense

1. Open **Recurring** in the sidebar and click **Add Rule**.
2. Fill in the merchant, amount and currency, and optionally a description and category.
3. Choose how often it repeats: **Weekly**, **Bi-weekly**, **Monthly** or **Yearly**.
4. Set the **Start Date**, and optionally an **End Date**.
5. Click **Save Rule**.

## When expenses are created

Traackly checks your recurring expenses every day at 03:00 UTC and adds each charge that is due, dated on its due date.

- If the start date is in the past, charges before today are not added.
- A monthly expense on the 29th, 30th or 31st is added on the last day of shorter months.
- After the end date, the rule stops by itself.

## Pause, edit or delete

Each recurring expense has buttons to edit, pause and delete it. A paused rule shows **Paused** and adds nothing. When you resume it, it continues from the next due date, without adding the charges you missed.

Deleting a rule never deletes the expenses it already created.

## Limits

| Plan | Recurring expenses |
| --- | --- |
| Pro | 15 |
| Scale | 30 |

The limit counts all your workspaces together.

## If you change plan

- **Moving to Starter:** your recurring rules are deleted. When the 7-day Pro trial ends without an upgrade, they are paused instead and kept for a period, with no new expenses created, so upgrading brings them back; after that they are deleted. Expenses they already created stay. Traackly warns you before a plan change and emails you before the trial ends.
- **Late payment:** rules wait, and catch up once the payment goes through.
