# Dashboard and reports

> Read your dashboard totals and the spending charts in Reports, including workspace analytics on Scale.

## Your dashboard

The four cards at the top of your dashboard summarize the selected period:

| Card | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **Total** | What you spent, per currency, and for a single month, the change from the month before |
| **Budget** | Your budget for this month and how much is used (Pro and Scale) |
| **Expenses** | How many expenses are in the selected period (Starter, in place of Budget) |
| **Average** | The average expense, per currency |
| **Period** | Click it to choose **All Time** or a single month |

Everything on the dashboard is for the workspace you are in.

## Reports

Open **Reports** in the sidebar for charts of your spending. Reports are included on Pro and Scale.

Choose a month at the top. If you track more than one currency, choose the currency too: charts show one currency at a time.

| Chart | What it shows |
| --- | --- |
| **Daily Spending** | What you spent each day of the month |
| **Category Breakdown** | How your spending splits across categories |
| **Top Merchants** | Where you spent the most |
| **Monthly Comparison** | Each category in the selected month against the month before |

## Workspace analytics (Scale)

On Scale, Reports also compares your workspaces: total spent per workspace, the top category in each, a category breakdown across workspaces, and spending trends over the last 6 months.
