# Files and scan limits

## Supported files

| Photos | JPG, PNG, HEIC, HEIF | 10 MB |
| Documents | PDF | 5 MB |

You can upload up to 10 files at a time. Photos are compressed in your browser before upload, so they upload faster. For a large PDF, a photo of the receipt works just as well.

Other formats, such as TIFF, spreadsheets or Word files, are not supported.

Every scan attempt uses one scan, including a retry, a new upload of the same receipt, and each receipt you forward by email. Expenses you add yourself never count.

## When your scans reset

Your count resets once a month on the day your billing period renews. On an annual plan, it resets on the same day every month. To see your usage and the next reset date, open the menu under your profile picture.

## When you reach your limit

New uploads are paused until your count resets, and Traackly offers you an upgrade. You can still add expenses yourself at any time. [Compare plans](/pricing).
