Forward a receipt, get an expense

Every Scale account gets a personal Traackly address. Forward a receipt or invoice to it from any inbox, and Traackly reads it and files the expense, with the attachment saved alongside.

  • Your own address, switched on the moment you create it
  • Works with any email account, with set-up guides for automatic forwarding in Gmail and Outlook

The Traackly API lets your apps and scripts work with your expenses directly. Create an API key in Settings and send it as a Bearer token with each request.

  • Read, add, update and delete expenses, and read your categories and account
  • Up to 3 keys, each Read Only or Read & Write, and revocable at any time
  • 60 requests a minute per key, 180 across all your keys
  • JSON over HTTPS, with a public quick reference in the docs

Email forwarding and the API are included on Scale, along with up to 3 workspaces.

Of course. There are several ways to get your expenses where you need them:

  • Export a file: download your expenses as CSV on every plan, or as Excel and PDF on Pro and Scale, and import them into your accounting software.
  • Connect through the API: on Scale, send your expenses automatically from the Traackly REST API to your own tools.
  • Use an automation tool: any tool that can make HTTPS requests can read and write your expenses with an API key.
  • Ask for a custom solution: need something built for your business? Contact us and we'll find the right setup together.

Any email account that can forward messages. The Email page in Traackly also has step-by-step guides for setting up automatic forwarding in Gmail and Outlook.

Each key is shown only once, can be read-only, reaches only the workspace it was created in, and can be revoked at any time. Keep keys on your server, never in browser code.
